Raising Funds for our Children’s Future

Welcome to your page – as a parent you are automatically part of our PTA (Friends of School).  This page is dedicated to helping you find out more about what we do, how you can help and what events are coming up – these events can be found on the calendar.

If you want to stay up to date with activity please like our MoorlandsFederationPTA Facebook page as well as our @PTAMoorlands twitter feed.  This is the perfect place for the latest news, events and to contact us.

The Moorlands Federation PTA is a registered charity – charity number 1146086.  Being a charity has its benefits but also means we need to follow certain procedures.  For further information about our charity status follow the link here.  At the beginning of each new school year we have our AGM to review the accounts and to elect a new committee.

A big hello from your PTA!

The role of the PTA is to encourage closer links between school and home. We plan events through the year to raise money and provide opportunities for parents to get together. We realise things are difficult right now – meeting others might mean a wave in the queue or a Zoom call, but we will do our best to help you connect and build a community. We encourage you all to reach out to other parents and support each other, however you can.
Your committee needs you!
Everyone is automatically a member of the PTA. But we do have a committee who deal
with funding, organising events, and sorting out community days. We are specifically in
need of a secretary, and at least two more committee members. We are also looking for a couple of volunteers to take the lead on maintaining the second-hand uniform (sorting out donations, preparing for sales and responding to requests from parents). If you are interested, please email Julie at

The PTA committee is;

Chair: Julie Morton (Mum to Calvin Y5 and Josie Y3)

Member – Christopher Brown (Dad to Milly in Y2)

Member – Kieran Ball (Dad to Lucy Y3 and Oliver Y6)

Member – Hannah Cameron-McKenna (Mum to Marlow in Y2)

The PTA is open to all parents and carers – so please come along and get involved.
