Raising Funds for our Children’s Future
Welcome to your page – as a parent you are automatically part of our PTA (Friends of School). This page is dedicated to helping you find out more about what we do, how you can help and what events are coming up – these events can be found on the calendar.
If you want to stay up to date with activity please like our MoorlandsFederationPTA Facebook page as well as our @PTAMoorlands twitter feed. This is the perfect place for the latest news, events and to contact us.
The Moorlands Federation PTA is a registered charity – charity number 1146086. Being a charity has its benefits but also means we need to follow certain procedures. For further information about our charity status follow the link here. At the beginning of each new school year we have our AGM to review the accounts and to elect a new committee.
A big hello from your PTA!
The role of the PTA is to encourage closer links between home and school. We plan events though the year to raise money and provide opportunities for parents to get together. These events include the fantastic Moorlands Campout, our annual quiz night, The Great Moorlands Bake Off and our Christmas Fayre. We also help with other activities around the school such as running coffee mornings, selling second hand uniform and gardening projects. So if you are looking for ways to meet more parents, want to lend a hand at school or help out with an event we would love to hear from you! Or perhaps you have some great ideas for things we could do?
The PTA committee is;
Chair – Julie Morton (Mum to Calvin Y3 and Josie Y1)
Acting Vice Chair – Roisin Davison (Mum to Aoife Y5)
Member – Christopher Brown (Dad to Milly in EYFS)
Member – Vicky Bentley (Mum to Juliet Y3 and Grace Y1)
Member – Kathryn Hickey (Mum to Ella and Sophie Y2)
Member – Kieran Ball (Dad to Oliver Y4 and Lucy Y1)
We have regular PTA meetings and would love to see you there, or send us an email;
The PTA is open to all parents and carers – so please come along and get involved.
